The Pakistani rupee strengthened marginally against the US dollar in currency markets on the first day of the trading week.

According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the dollar depreciated by 8 paisas in the interbank market, closing at Rs. 277.97 on Monday.

Meanwhile, in the open market, the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP) reported a 4-paisa decline in the dollar’s value, bringing it down to Rs. 278.98.

The modest gains come as Pakistan’s currency markets continue to react to economic developments and measures aimed at stabilizing the rupee amid ongoing financial challenges.
