Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Najam Sethi, has decided to send national team batter Saeem Ayub to London for immediate medical treatment. Ayub, who was injured during the ongoing tour, will be treated by renowned sports orthopaedic specialists in London. His medical reports have already been forwarded to London, and an appointment with the experts has been scheduled.
Following consultations with doctors, PCB Chairman Najam Sethi personally contacted Saeem Ayub to inquire about his condition and wished him a speedy recovery.
Sethi confirmed that Ayub’s treatment would be overseen by specialists in London, who will conduct a thorough examination. The chairman added that Saeem Ayub, a stylish batter and a valuable asset to Pakistan cricket, would receive the best possible care.
Additionally, renowned Pakistani doctor, Dr. Mamrayz, is coordinating Ayub’s treatment and has already sent his complete medical reports to London for further evaluation.
Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari also reached out to Saeem Ayub to inquire about the injury he sustained to his foot. The President expressed his well wishes for Ayub’s recovery and praised his impressive batting performance.
In response, Saeem Ayub thanked the President for his kind gesture and reaffirmed his commitment to making a strong comeback after recovery. The President also extended his best wishes to the entire Pakistani cricket team.
Saeem Ayub sustained the injury while fielding during the second Test match in Cape Town. After experiencing significant pain, he was rushed to the hospital where an MRI confirmed a fracture in his ankle. As a result, Ayub will be sidelined from cricket for at least six weeks.
