According to a report presented to the National Assembly by the Interior Ministry, Pakistan experienced:
- 1514 terror attacks in 2023, resulting in:
- 572 armed forces personnel martyred
- 1292 armed forces personnel injured
- 358 civilians martyred
- 700 civilians injured
- 561 terror attacks in 2024 (from January to April), resulting in:
- 167 security personnel martyred
- 118 civilians martyred
- 348 security personnel injured
- 253 civilians injured
The report also highlighted terror incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2023, including:
- 563 terror incidents
- 243 attacks on police
- Highest incidents reported in Dera Ismail Khan (132), Khyber (103), and Peshawar (89)
- 86 attacks in North Waziristan and 50 in South Waziristan
- 837 terrorists taken into custody
