Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson Barrister Saif has congratulated the people of Kurram district on the signing of the peace agreement between the conflicting parties.
Barrister Saif confirmed that one party had signed the agreement a few days ago, while the other party signed it today. He also mentioned that both sides had agreed on the demolition of bunkers and the handover of heavy weapons.
He expressed hope that the peace agreement would usher in a new era of peace and prosperity in Kurram. The spokesperson further emphasized that with the signing of the agreement, the normal life in the region would soon be fully restored.
It is noteworthy that the grand jirga, which had been ongoing for three weeks to establish peace in Kurram, has concluded, resulting in a peace agreement between the two warring tribes.
