The Karachi Zoological Gardens has announced the arrival of three adorable lion cubs, born to a lioness at the zoo. According to a statement from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), the cubs are healthy and receiving proper care from their mother.

To ensure their safety, the cubs were separated from the male lion immediately after birth. A team of experts is providing round-the-clock care to the cubs, who will be transferred to a regular enclosure once they reach eight weeks of age.

Due to their vulnerability in the early weeks, visitors will not be able to see the cubs for about two months. The cubs are born blind and rely entirely on their mother during this period.

Mayor Murtaza Wahab expressed his delight at the birth and reiterated his commitment to upgrading the zoo with modern facilities and adding more animals to its collection. This is the second lion birth at the zoo in recent months, with two cubs born in August, marking the first birth among big cats at the facility in over 12 years.
