Karachi gears up for more chilly days ahead

A cold wave is expected to sweep over Karachi and other parts of Sindh starting January 24, with temperatures possibly dipping into single digits by the end of the month, according to meteorologists.

Weather analyst reports suggest that western winds will begin impacting the country from today, bringing with them a chance of rainfall and snowfall in mountainous areas. This weather system is expected to influence various regions across Pakistan.

“The western winds system is likely to affect the country until January 23,” the meteorologist stated. “During this period, cities in Sindh such as Sukkur, Jacobabad, and Larkana are expected to experience light rainfall, while other areas in the province may remain overcast.”

In addition, the new weather system is expected to bring cold conditions to most of the country, with rain forecast in parts of Balochistan.

Meteorologists also indicated that temperatures in Karachi and other areas of Sindh may fall significantly during the final week of January, as the cold wave strengthens.
