Karachi (Web Desk): Renowned Pakistani actress Yashma Gill has revealed that all marriage proposals she has received through her family have included the condition that she must give up acting. Speaking on a private TV channel’s show, Gill shared insights into her career and personal life, stating that acting has given her recognition and is so emotionally connected to her that leaving the industry has become difficult.
The actress further explained that, particularly in our society, it is not considered appropriate for girls to be seen on screen. She mentioned that every proposal that came through her family included the demand that she quit acting. “Acting is the one thing I am skilled at, and I cannot imagine a life where I depend on someone else instead of myself,” she stated.
When asked if she would give up acting for love, Yashma Gill responded, “If I feel secure with that person, if I am convinced that they truly love me and will fulfill all their promises, then I could sacrifice my career for them.”
