Rahim Yar Khan( The COW News Digital) A deeply disturbing incident of sexual violence has emerged from the Ghazi Pur area within the jurisdiction of the Tranda Muhammad Panah police station in Punjab’s Rahim Yar Khan district. A married woman was allegedly gang-raped by three men who also filmed the assault and later circulated the video on social media.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the victim, who had been living with her parents due to domestic disputes, was on her way to the local market when she was lured away by a man named Shahid. He deceitfully convinced her to accompany him, after which he and his three accomplices forcibly took her to a nearby field.

There, the accused subjected the woman to sexual assault while filming the entire incident. During the attack, they issued death threats, warning her against reporting the crime, saying they would kill her and release the video publicly. Despite the threats, the victim later discovered that the video had already been uploaded to social media, intensifying her trauma.

The FIR states that the woman gathered the courage to report the incident to local police. Station House Officer (SHO) Muhammad Imtiaz of the Tranda Muhammad Panah police station promptly registered a case based on her written complaint. The case includes charges of gang rape, criminal intimidation, and cybercrime related to the dissemination of explicit content.

Speaking to the media, a police spokesperson assured the public that swift action is being taken. “The suspects will be arrested soon and brought to justice. This act is not only a criminal offense but a deep violation of human dignity,” the spokesperson said.

Law enforcement authorities have also initiated a cyber forensic investigation to trace the sources and spread of the explicit video. Local officials have called the incident a “heinous act” and pledged that justice will be served without delay.

The case has sparked outrage on social media and among civil rights groups, who are demanding swift accountability and legal reforms to prevent such crimes and ensure the safety of women in public and private spaces.

As investigations continue, the police have appealed to the public to avoid sharing the video and assist in identifying all perpetrators involved in this tragic case.
