The Education Department of Azad Kashmir has announced an extension in winter vacations for all public and private educational institutions due to severe weather conditions.
Revised Schedule
According to the official notification, schools in Azad Kashmir will now reopen on February 6, instead of February 2. The extension applies to both government and private institutions.
Updates from Other Provinces
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Winter vacations in the province have also been extended until January 6, 2025. Earlier, schools were scheduled to reopen on December 31, 2024. Mountainous areas will observe winter breaks until February 29, 2024, while plain regions had been on break from December 23 to December 31.
- Sindh: The Education Department in Sindh confirmed that all schools resumed regular academic activities today, January 1, 2025, following the winter break from December 21 to December 31, 2024.
