In the second warm-up match of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup qualifier, the West Indies women’s team secured a convincing five-wicket win over Ireland.
Batting first, the Ireland women’s team posted a competitive total of 248 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 50 overs.
Captain Laura Delany led the charge with a solid 67-run knock, while Leah Paul contributed 46 and Gaby Lewis added 45 runs to the scoreboard, giving Ireland a strong platform.

In reply, the West Indies chased down the target with five wickets in hand, thanks to key contributions from their senior players.
Hayley Matthews once again impressed with the bat, scoring 55 runs, while veteran batter Stafanie Taylor added a composed 53. Zaida James played a pivotal role in the middle order with a brisk 47-run knock, ensuring her side crossed the finish line comfortably.
For Ireland, bowler Cara Murray stood out with the ball, claiming three wickets and keeping her team in the contest for a while.
