- CM KP Declares Ongoing Sit-In as Part of a Larger Movement Until Imran Khan’s Call
Mansehra: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has asserted that the ongoing sit-in is not just a protest but a movement, which will continue until PTI Chairman Imran Khan issues further instructions.
Speaking at a press conference in Mansehra, Ali Amin Gandapur emphasized that the PTI’s protest in Islamabad was a peaceful call for their legitimate rights. “Our party has faced severe repression. I was subjected to an assassination attempt and even an abduction attempt,” he revealed.
He reiterated that the sit-in is under Imran Khan’s directives. “Imran Khan has made it clear that the protest will continue until he decides otherwise. This is not over. In this movement, hundreds of our people have been martyred, shot, and thousands of our workers have been arrested,” Gandapur stated.
He criticized the authorities for failing to provide justice to PTI members. “We called for a peaceful march in Islamabad, yet our protestors were met with bullets and violence. Had we not been attacked, our people would not have retaliated.”
Gandapur highlighted that PTI has been facing persecution for over two and a half years. “Our leader is imprisoned, and even his wife has been jailed. Despite multiple cases being filed against me related to May 9, there isn’t a single piece of evidence against me.”
He questioned the state of justice, remarking, “If a Chief Minister cannot get justice, what can an ordinary citizen expect? A nation cannot be enslaved by bullets. This province knows how to claim its rights and its mandate.”
