Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir stated that the Pakistan Army, in collaboration with other security agencies, will eradicate terrorism and ensure the establishment of lasting and sustainable peace in the country. He emphasized that the Pakistan Army will defeat the menace of Khawarij and their facilitators.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief visited the Wana area in South Waziristan District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the visit, he was given a detailed briefing on the ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
The ISPR reported that the Army Chief commended the dedication and spirit of the soldiers and officers, stating that the martyrs are the pride of Pakistan and will never be forgotten, nor will their sacrifices go in vain.
The Army Chief reiterated the commitment to defeating Khawarij and their supporters. He also acknowledged and praised the resolve and determination of the personnel.
