Washington:
The Washington Post has revealed India’s involvement in terrorism and targeted killings across the globe, with a particular focus on Pakistan. According to a report by the U.S. newspaper, Indian intelligence agency RAW has been implicated in orchestrating targeted killings in Pakistan through hired assassins and Afghan weapons.
The report highlights an incident in Lahore in April, where two masked assailants shot and killed Aamir Sarfraz, also known as Tamba. This was part of a broader pattern of covert assassination campaigns by Indian intelligence agencies, with evidence suggesting India’s direct involvement in the killings of Pakistani nationals.
The report also mentions that after 2021, RAW has carried out a secretive operation targeting several Pakistani citizens. Pakistan’s Interior Minister has confirmed India’s direct involvement in these killings.
In 2014, India’s National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval, reportedly stated that while attacking Pakistan openly was unrealistic, India could achieve its goals through covert means.
The report further discusses RAW’s controversial activities in the United States, Canada, and other Western countries, where it has been linked to extrajudicial killings, including the targeted assassinations of Sikh leaders in both Canada and the U.S.
According to the report, RAW officer Vikash Yadav was involved in directing a hit on a Sikh separatist leader in New York, employing a local assassin for the job. Canadian authorities have also exposed RAW’s terrorist activities in the country.
Diplomatic experts have pointed out that evidence linking India to the killings of Pakistani citizens, such as Mohammad Riaz and Maulana Shahid Latif, has surfaced in recent years. The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has previously presented evidence of India’s involvement in terrorism on Pakistani soil.
Experts emphasize that the international community must take strong action against India’s aggressive and terrorist activities, noting that Indian interference and targeted killings pose a serious threat to global peace and stability.
