Highlighting the risks of cosmetic treatments without medical expert’s consultation, actress Ushna Shah has opened up about the ordeal she faced after undergoing a botched cosmetic procedure to remove dark circles, setting alarm bells ringing.
Speaking with Srha Asgr, Ushna expressed her concern over the growing trend of excessive facial fillers.
She said such procedures often distort facial expressions and hinder one’s ability to emote naturally.
She revealed that she had insomnia, which resulted in persistent dark circles.
On a doctor’s advice, she opted for under-eye fillers, which initially improved her appearance.
According to her, she later underwent another procedure … but on the recommendation of a salon owner.
The latter move turned out to be a terrible mistake, he said, adding that the treatment caused her intense pain and left visible marks under her eyes.
Ushna made her television debut in 2013 and quickly gained recognition for her strong screen presence. She is known for playing intense and challenging roles in hits like Bashar Momin, Alif Allah Aur Insaan, Balaa, Parizaad and Habs.
She also appeared in Pakistani films like Teri Meri Love Story and Oye Makhna.
