“Uraan Pakistan” Program Targets $60 Billion Exports by 2029

Islamabad:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to unveil the Uraan Pakistan program on December 31. According to the Ministry of Planning, this ambitious five-year national economic plan will span from 2024 to 2029, aiming to transform Pakistan’s economic landscape.

Sources indicate that under the Uraan Pakistan initiative, the federal government aims to boost annual exports to $60 billion by 2029. The program also plans to significantly increase the number of IT graduates annually, addressing the global demand for tech talent.

The primary goal of Uraan Pakistan is to lay the foundation for a $1 trillion economy by 2035. The program emphasizes improving literacy rates, reducing poverty, and fostering sustainable economic growth.

Particular attention has been given to IT exports, which are poised to play a crucial role in achieving the program’s ambitious targets.

This landmark initiative reflects the government’s commitment to long-term economic reform and development, with a vision of positioning Pakistan as a leading global economy in the coming years.
