According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), strikes were carried out on Saturday targeting Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a. The strikes hit a missile and a command and control center.
The CENTCOM statement further mentioned that U.S. forces intercepted and destroyed several drones and anti-ship cruise missiles launched by Houthi forces over the Red Sea during the operation.
It is noteworthy that earlier on Saturday, the Houthis launched a missile attack on Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel, which injured 16 people.
The Israeli military stated that its air defense system failed to intercept the missile launched from Yemen.
Following the missile attack on Tel Aviv, Houthi official Hazem Al-Assad declared that the failure of all Israeli defense systems signifies that the heart of the Zionist enemy is no longer secure, rendering their multi-billion-dollar defense systems ineffective.
