Kyiv (News Desk): Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that a Russian battalion, along with several North Korean soldiers, were killed in the ongoing fighting near the village of Markhnivka, located in the Kherson region.

In a late-night statement from Kyiv, President Zelensky referred to information provided by Ukraine’s army chief, noting that intense battles are continuing across all fronts. He specifically mentioned that the fighting around Pokrovsk has escalated significantly. Zelensky highlighted that Ukrainian forces are defending the country on every battlefield, with a particularly heavy toll on Russian troops in the Kherson area.

The President also reported ongoing rescue operations in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions, as well as a Russian bombing of a residential building in the city of Svyatohirsk, which resulted in significant destruction. Nearby buildings were also damaged.

In a further update, Zelensky revealed that the Ukrainian army chief confirmed Russia had suffered substantial losses, including the destruction of a full battalion and the loss of North Korean soldiers, marking a significant blow to Russian forces.
