Washington: An important meeting on the current situation in Syria was held at the White House under the leadership of U.S. President Joe Biden, where detailed discussions were held regarding Syria’s future and the ongoing circumstances.

According to global news agencies, President Biden announced a three-pronged policy for Syria, which includes supporting allies, imposing sanctions on opposition elements, and, if necessary, using military force.

President Biden expressed concern that ISIS might attempt to exploit the power vacuum in Syria, but assured that the U.S. would not allow this to happen. He emphasized the critical role of U.S. forces in Syria, stating that the U.S. will maintain the balance of power in the region.

Biden called for accountability from Bashar al-Assad, stressing that U.S. policies in the Middle East have shifted the balance of power. He claimed that external forces such as Iran, Russia, and Hezbollah, which once had a significant presence in Syria, have now lost much of their influence.

The U.S. president also assured continued support for Syria’s neighboring countries and a careful review of the actions and rhetoric of rebel groups. He reiterated that the U.S. will work alongside its partners to ensure peace and stability in Syria.

On Sunday, U.S. Central Command confirmed an operation against ISIS positions in Syria’s desert region, although further details about the operation have not been provided.
