Biden credited Vice President Kamala Harris and his team for helping the administration navigate through difficult times. He stressed the importance of safeguarding democracy in the U.S. and expressed concern about the concentration of power in the hands of a few wealthy individuals.
Biden also highlighted the current era of misinformation and disinformation on social media, stressing the need to protect the younger generation from these issues and to implement safeguards for artificial intelligence.
He reiterated that America, not China, should lead the world.
In addition, President Biden welcomed the Gaza ceasefire agreement, stating that the U.S. had carried out excellent diplomacy. He mentioned that the next phase would involve the release of American hostages, and that both his team and Donald Trump had worked together to achieve the Gaza ceasefire.
Biden noted that the ceasefire in Lebanon and the weakening of Iran had put pressure on Hamas, and the changing circumstances had forced Hamas to agree to the ceasefire.
Finally, President Biden expressed his best wishes for the success of the Trump administration.
