Rawalpindi: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Kolachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, neutralizing two terrorists and capturing one injured, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR stated that the killed terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces and civilians. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain individuals. A sanitization operation was also conducted in the area to locate any remaining terrorists.
The military spokesperson reaffirmed the security forces’ commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring peace in the region.
Recent Counter-Terrorism Operations
The operation follows a series of successful counter-terrorism actions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past two days. Security forces eliminated 22 terrorists, including 10 in North Waziristan and 9 in Tank during intelligence-based operations. Another 3 terrorists were killed during an attempted attack on a security checkpoint in Thal, where 6 brave soldiers were martyred while defending the nation.
The ISPR emphasized that the operations against potential threats in the region are ongoing as the forces remain steadfast in their resolve to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the country.
