Gujranwala:
Two suspects, including a human trafficker, have been arrested in connection with the Greece boat tragedy.
In a statement issued by the FIA spokesperson, it was mentioned that the FIA Gujranwala Zone took action against those involved in the Greece boat incident and arrested two suspects, including a human trafficker.
According to the statement, the arrested suspects are Muhammad Aslam and Saeed Ahmed. Muhammad Aslam is involved in the Greece boat tragedy.
The FIA revealed that the suspect is a member of an international smuggling gang. He allegedly swindled millions of rupees from victims under the pretext of sending them to Europe. The arrested suspect took a total of 8.5 million rupees from the victims. With the help of other gang members, the suspect initially sent the victims to Libya and later attempted to send them to Greece via boat.
The statement also mentioned that the victims of the boat tragedy are now missing. The suspect was arrested in Gujranwala using advanced technology. In a separate operation, a human trafficker was arrested in Gujrat for being involved in the production of fake travel documents.
The FIA said that the suspect was collecting large sums of money under the guise of providing fake documents. The suspects have been arrested, and investigations have begun. Raids are ongoing to arrest other suspects.
The Director of the Gujranwala Zone stated that the crackdown on those involved in the Greece boat tragedy is ongoing. Special raiding teams have been formed to capture the suspects, and all available resources are being used.
He emphasized that no one will be allowed to play with innocent people’s lives, and based on solid evidence, the suspects will be given appropriate punishments.
