In a significant development, Turkiye has assured Pakistan of its complete support in the war on terrorism. This assurance was given by the Republic of Turkiye’s Ambassador in Pakistan, Mehmet Pacacı, during a meeting with Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday.
The meeting, held at the interior ministry’s building, saw both sides discussing ways to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperate in the fight against terrorism. Minister Naqvi welcomed Turkiye’s cooperation, stating that Pakistan would appreciate any assistance in its efforts to combat terrorism.
Naqvi highlighted the sacrifices made by Pakistanis in the war against terrorism, citing the bravery and dedication of the Pakistan Army, police, Rangers, and other law-enforcement agencies. He praised the services of Ambassador Pacacı in further strengthening relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Pacacı strongly condemned the recent incidents of terrorism in Balochistan and assured Pakistan of Turkiye’s complete support and collaboration in the war against terrorism. Both sides agreed to increase the number of flights between the two countries, promoting people-to-people contacts and economic ties.
The minister announced that he would visit Turkiye in October on the invitation of the Turkish government, further solidifying bilateral relations.
This assurance of support from Turkiye comes at a critical time for Pakistan, which has been facing challenges in its fight against terrorism. The country has made significant sacrifices in the war on terror, and international cooperation is essential in this regard.
