Islamabad (News Desk): Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Irfan Naziroglu, held a meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman on Thursday. During the meeting, Hafiz Naeem emphasized the deep-rooted bond between Pakistan and Türkiye, highlighting their shared religious and cultural ties.
Hafiz Naeem stated that Türkiye holds a special place in the hearts of all Pakistanis, with a friendship that spans centuries. He underscored the Jamaat-e-Islami’s commitment to strengthening people-to-people relations between the two nations.
He expressed hope in the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stating that Muslims around the world look to him for solutions to the challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah. He also called for a unified policy among Muslim countries to safeguard the people of Gaza and implement actionable measures for their protection.
Ambassador Naziroglu reciprocated these sentiments, emphasizing Türkiye’s desire to collaborate with the people of Pakistan across various sectors. He noted the mutual need for stronger ties between the two countries and expressed interest in joint initiatives in education, trade, culture, and professional training.
The ambassador thanked Hafiz Naeem for his warm reception and assured him of continued dialogue and consultation. Deputy Secretary-General of Jamaat-e-Islami, Farasat Shah, and Director of Foreign Affairs, Asif Luqman Qazi, were also present at the meeting.
