ISLAMABAD:(TheCOWNews Digital)-Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made a telephonic contact with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Sunday and stressed that force should not be used to resolve disputes, reported The COW News digital.

During the call, the Crown Prince strongly condemned any harm to Iran’s sovereignty and security, emphasising that regional stability could only be ensured through diplomatic means.

Meanwhile, in a significant geopolitical development, US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin also held a one-hour telephonic conversation, agreeing that the ongoing Iran-Israel war must come to an end.

Following the call, President Trump said, “Putin and I are in agreement that this war between Israel and Iran should be stopped.”

Trump revealed that President Putin had initially called to extend birthday greetings, but the conversation quickly shifted to critical issues. “We spoke at length, primarily about Iran — a country he knows very well,” Trump noted.

He added that less time was spent discussing the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis but confirmed that negotiations regarding that conflict would resume next week.

President Trump also disclosed that a large-scale prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine was already underway as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts.
