Trump Credited for Iran-Israel Ceasefire, Says PM Sharif

Islamabad( The COW News Digital) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded U.S. President Donald Trump’s decisive leadership for bringing about a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, in a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday.

According to official sources, the Prime Minister acknowledged President Trump’s role in de-escalating one of the most dangerous conflicts in recent Middle Eastern history. “President Trump’s bold and decisive leadership has been crucial in achieving the ceasefire between Iran and Israel,” Sharif said during the call, which also focused on regional stability and bilateral cooperation.

The Pakistani premier also expressed gratitude to the United States for its key diplomatic role in facilitating the ceasefire along the Line of Control between Pakistan and India. He emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and diplomacy in maintaining regional peace.

Both leaders agreed to strengthen U.S.-Pakistan bilateral ties, especially in the areas of trade and economic collaboration. PM Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining constructive engagement with all global stakeholders, particularly in promoting peace across the Middle East.
