Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday hailed U.S. President Donald Trump as a “decisive leader” and a “valuable partner” for Pakistan, expressing gratitude for Trump’s role in fostering global peace and regional stability.
In a post on social media platform X, the Pakistani premier lauded President Trump’s leadership, saying, “Pakistan has found an excellent partner in President Donald Trump.”
Shehbaz Sharif praised Trump’s efforts towards peace in South Asia, particularly his recent initiatives aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region. “We are grateful for President Trump’s statesmanlike leadership and his commendable efforts for peace in South Asia,” the prime minister stated.
Highlighting the long-standing ties between the two nations, Shehbaz noted that Pakistan and the United States have been allies for decades and continue to work together to safeguard and expand shared interests. “For decades, Pakistan and the United States have stood as partners, united by common goals and cooperation,” he added.
The prime minister’s remarks come amid renewed diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Washington following recent regional developments.
