Transport Canada’s Assessment of Pakistan’s Aviation Security

Satisfactory Rating: Transport Canada’s security delegation has rated Pakistan’s aviation security as satisfactory after conducting a thorough security audit of Jinnah International Airport .
Scope of Assessment: The assessment covered various aspects of security, including deployment, entry control, screening, issuance of passes, and emergency response measures .
Additional Measures: The Transport Canada team commended the Airports Security Force (ASF) for taking extra measures to ensure the safety of Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) direct flights to Canada .
Overall Aviation Security: The team also expressed satisfaction with the overall aviation security measures in place at Pakistan’s international airports .
Delegation’s Visit: The two-member delegation from Transport Canada arrived in Pakistan on July 15 for the security audit, which was led by Transportation Security Inspectors Barbara Dudrat and Abdul Tahir .
Security Protocols: The assessment aimed to evaluate the implementation of various security protocols at the airport, including procedures and special security measures for direct flights from Pakistan to Canada, specifically focusing on PIA flights.
