Eid ul-Fitr: Prayers of Key Personalities Across Pakistan
Eid ul-Fitr is being celebrated with religious devotion and respect throughout the country. On this occasion, Eid prayers were held in various cities and towns across the country, with special prayers offered for the Muslim Ummah, national security, and peace.
- President Asif Ali Zardari offered Eid prayers at Zardari House, Nawabshah. Alongside him were Deputy Speaker National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Provincial Minister for Prisons Haji Ali Hassan Zardari, and others. After the prayers, they greeted people individually. Provincial Minister for Health Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho and MPA Faryal Talpur were also in Nawabshah for Eid.
- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif performed Eid prayers in Model Town, Lahore, along with Hamza Shehbaz and other party leaders.
- Nawaz Sharif (President of PML-N) performed Eid prayers at Jati Umra, Lahore.
- Chairman Senate Yusuf Raza Gilani prayed in Multan.
- Former Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani performed Eid prayers in his hometown, Nokundi, and afterward greeted the people.
- PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari & CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah prayed at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Larkana. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari greeted citizens after the prayers. He was accompanied by former CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani, Jamil Somroo, Sohel Anwar Sial, and others. Afterward, Bilawal visited the graves of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto, and Shaheed Mir Shah Nawaz Bhutto and offered prayers.
- Opposition Leader Omar Ayub Khan performed Eid prayers in his ancestral village, Raihana, Haripur, along with former Provincial Minister Yusuf Ayub Khan. They greeted the people after the prayers.
- Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori, Federal Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and other leaders offered Eid prayers at the Governor House, Karachi. Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Deputy Mayor Salman Murad, former Mayor Wasim Akhtar, and Members of National Assembly Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and Arshad Vohra prayed at Polo Ground, Karachi.
- CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur performed Eid prayers in his ancestral district, Dera Ismail Khan, and offered special prayers for the country’s security, prosperity, national unity, and the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
- CM Balochistan Mir Sardar Baloch offered Eid prayers at the CM House, Quetta, with Provincial Ministers Noor Muhammad Damar and Bakht Kakhar. Also present were Member of the Balochistan Assembly Haji Ali Madad Jatak and IG Police Balochistan.
- Chaudhry Brothers offered Eid prayers in Gujrat. Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain performed Eid prayers at Jamia Masjid Eidgah with workers, while Provincial Minister Chaudhry Shafaat Hussain prayed at Jamia Masjid Shah Waliat. Afterward, they visited the grave of Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi Shahid and offered prayers.
- Former Punjab CM Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi offered Eid prayers at Jamia Masjid Khatam-un-Nabiyyin in Jhanda Wala, Kunjah. Afterward, he visited the residence of Muns Elahi at Kunjahri House and met party workers and associates.
- Former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, Supreme Court Constitutional Bench Chairman Justice Ameenuddin Khan, Supreme Court Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan, Lahore High Court Justices Abid Aziz Sheikh, and Sajad Mahmood Sethi prayed at the GO R1 Mosque in Lahore.
- Additional Chief Secretary Punjab and former Mayor Khawaja Ahmed Hassan also offered Eid prayers at GO R1 Mosque, where special prayers were made for the security and prosperity of the country and the nation.
- Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan performed Eid prayers in his ancestral village, Khai Hithar, Kasur, with his relatives and villagers. Afterward, he embraced the elderly, youth, and children, offering them Eid greetings.
This year, prominent political, judicial, and provincial leaders celebrated Eid in different locations across the country, marking the occasion with spiritual devotion and a focus on national unity and prosperity.
