President Asif Ali Zardari extended his heartfelt congratulations to the entire nation and the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid. He said that this joyous day is the reward bestowed upon us by Allah after the blessings, worship, and journey of piety during Ramadan. Eid ul-Fitr is a gift from Allah for the hardships of fasting.
He emphasized the need to promote brotherhood among ourselves so that our country emerges as a strong and prosperous state. On this occasion, we should also remember our brothers and sisters who are suffering from economic difficulties.
He also prayed for the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, asking Allah to grant them freedom and the joy of Eid soon.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated the nation on Eid ul-Fitr and stated that this day teaches us happiness, gratitude, brotherhood, and compassion. He further mentioned that today, Pakistan faces threats from both internal and external enemies.
He emphasized that we must avoid all forms of extremism, hatred, and sectarianism.
