There is a possibility of the imposition of Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the federal government. Prime Minister was briefed about the situation regarding Governor’s Rule in a cabinet meeting, which was also attended by key government members.
Fearing the imposition of Governor’s Rule, the provincial government has become alert and has called an emergency session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly tonight at 9 PM. In this session, a future strategy will be devised to condemn any action from the federal government, and a vote of confidence will be expressed in favor of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. Additionally, a resolution condemning the federal government will also be presented.
Sources indicate that during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s protests, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur repeatedly used state resources, evidence of which is reportedly with the federal government.
The next 48 hours are considered critical for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, the PTI government has stated that it is prepared to face any situation.
