Today marks the performance of the most significant ritual of Hajj, Wuquf-e-Arafah (standing at Arafah). Over 115,000 Pakistani pilgrims, along with other pilgrims from around the world, have arrived safely at Mina. Pilgrims will offer five prayers — Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr — and then proceed to the plains of Arafat in the morning.

At Arafat, pilgrims will attend the Hajj sermon at Masjid Namirah and combine the Dhuhr and Asr prayers. Between Asr and Maghrib, the Wuquf (standing) at Arafah will take place, during which pilgrims fervently supplicate before Allah Almighty. At sunset, the call of the cannon will signal the end of Wuquf, and pilgrims will depart for Muzdalifah without performing Maghrib prayer.

In Muzdalifah, pilgrims will perform Maghrib and Isha prayers together. After spending the night under the open sky, they will offer Fajr prayer and then return to their tents in Mina at sunrise.

On the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims will perform the ritual of Rami Jamraat by throwing seven pebbles at the largest symbolic devil. This will be followed by the sacrifice of animals, after which pilgrims will shave or trim their hair and remove their Ihram clothing, wearing regular clothes thereafter.

On the 11th of Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims will again throw seven pebbles each at the three Jamraat — the small, medium, and large devil.

Following the stoning ritual, pilgrims will visit the Kaaba to perform Tawaf al-Ziyarah (visitation circumambulation). On the 12th of Dhul-Hijjah, after the sun passes its zenith, pilgrims will again stone the three Jamraat.

After completing the stoning rituals, pilgrims will leave Mina to return to their accommodations. Those who wish to stay for an additional day may do so on the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah by throwing pebbles at the three Jamraat once more before heading back to Makkah.

With the completion of these rites, the Hajj pilgrimage will be concluded. Some pilgrims will perform the Farewell Tawaf before departing to their home countries, while others will proceed to Madinah to visit the Prophet’s Mosque.
