Islamabad:
Speaker of the National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq, has stated that the doors for negotiations with PTI are open, and if pleading is required for negotiations, they are ready to do so.

While addressing a joint press conference alongside participants at the 18th Supreme Conference, Ayaz Sadiq said, “Our chambers and homes are open for everyone. If they are willing, we will not refuse. Once a committee is formed, paths will emerge on their own.”

He further said that appointing the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) from the opposition is not a written rule. “The government and opposition have been told to decide on the PAC. A final warning has been issued regarding the PAC chairman.”

Ayaz Sadiq added, “If no agreement is reached on the PAC chairman, I will call a meeting. The committee can appoint whoever it wishes as the chairman. Such an important committee cannot be delayed further.”

The Speaker of the National Assembly emphasized that during the conference, there was unanimous agreement among all participants. The collective opinion of the conference is that there should be negotiations, and efforts should be made to ensure the supremacy of Parliament, human rights, and democracy. The conference prioritized the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law in Pakistan.
