Bangkok (News Desk): Thailand’s Prime Minister, Phatongtarn Shinawatra, has revealed her assets, which have left many astonished. According to international news agencies, her assets exceed $400 million, including over $2 million worth of 200 designer handbags and at least 75 luxury watches valued at around $5 million.
Phatongtarn Shinawatra, aged 37, is the youngest daughter of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, and she assumed office as the Prime Minister of Thailand last year.
Reports indicate that Phatongtarn was required to declare her assets and liabilities to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), which she has now done. Her assets include properties in London and Japan, along with substantial cash holdings and investments.
In related news, Thailand introduced an e-visa service for foreign nationals in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The Thai e-visa service, which began on January 1, 2025, requires foreign nationals from these countries to apply for their visa through a new online platform,
Once the e-visa application is approved, applicants will receive a confirmation email, which must be presented in printed form to airline officials upon departure and to Thai immigration authorities upon arrival.
