Regarding the second Test match, Ahmed believes Pakistan will start under pressure but remains confident in their abilities, stating they are a better side than Bangladesh. “There is no doubt about that Pakistan will start the proceedings in the second Test match with great pressure, because they have lost the first match. But I still believe that Pakistan is a far better side than Bangladesh,” Ahmed said.
Ahmed also addressed the criticism surrounding Azam’s drop in rankings, saying there is no need to discuss it. “When he was playing in the top order, so many people were causing uproar over Babar’s rankings. Now those same people are talking about Babar’s ranking. So why are you talking about the ranking now?” Ahmed said.
