PTI senior leader Muhammad Azam Swati has disclosed that he has started contacting the establishment from Thursday with the permission of the party founder Imran Khan and will meet a ‘special personality’ next Wednesday.
Talking to a private TV channel, Swati said he will meet someone after which he would be able to say how far he could go and what would be the future course of action.
Swati said he had told his party founder that he, Dr Arif Alvi and some other people will start this process together. “I have sent a message to Dr. Alvi that I am meeting someone next Wednesday. I want Alvi and some other friends to join me,” he remarked.
Giving the details of his recent widely speculated meeting with Imran Khan, he claimed the party supremo had allowed him to talk to the establishment. Swati quoted the party founder as telling him that ‘you are my loyal companion. I own the pain you have suffered’.
However, Swati explained that there was not going to be any deal.

About his initiative, he expressed 100 percent optimism about success and claimed that some friendly countries will also come forward in the process.
To a question, Swati admitted that the Pakistani friends in America were doing a great job and that he was in touch with them. The PTI leader said his effort was not for himself or Imran Khan but for 250 million people and the country.
“The PTI founder has to be convinced for talks. Talks are not a sign of weakness. God is witness that I do not know how the jail door opened. Whoever opened the door, I thank God. My intention was to meet my leader,” he replied to a question.
Swati explained that he met the party founder after Eid. Earlier, he had gone to meet him five to six times. The party leadership had sent his name twice for meetings. Finally, he met the party founder on April 2. After that, he noted a barrage of questions came as to why he had met the party founder.
“Some say the generals have put me in to destroy PTI. Some say it is the timber mafia. No man can stand in the fire in which I am standing. The mission is not the founder, the mission is to liberate this country through the institutions,” he maintained.
However, he contended that all the vloggers who had spoken on this matter were not true.
Swati said he had tried through Army Chief General Asim Munir’s friend or teacher and Dr. Alvi. There was also an anchor; everyone tried, but we were not successful. Successful means we did not have a deal but had to talk. But even after his explanation, they all took the talk as a deal.
“And, now when I met the founder, I asked for his permission and he said ‘these people will not agree’; the founder said those people will not talk. The founder added for the sake of the country I promise I will not take any revenge,” Swati said.
