Swabi ( The COW News Digital) Police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swabi district have arrested a TikToker who had been disguising himself as a woman and sharing indecent videos on social media, sparking public outrage and concern.

According to a statement from the Swabi police spokesperson, the suspect, identified as Abdul Muqeiz, was producing and posting inappropriate videos while dressed in women’s clothing. His content, which quickly circulated across social media platforms, led to unrest and discomfort within the local community.

Police said the videos not only misled viewers but also promoted objectionable material, raising concerns about the impact of such activities on cultural and social values. The incident drew widespread criticism from residents, many of whom had expressed frustration over the misuse of social media platforms for indecent exposure and misleading portrayals.

The arrest was made by Aamir Khan, in-charge of the Bamkhel police post, after reports of the TikToker’s activities surfaced. Acting swiftly, the police tracked down the suspect and took him into custody. Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to creating and sharing the videos, acknowledging his actions and pledging to abstain from similar behavior in the future.

Law enforcement officials emphasized that such cases highlight the growing need to monitor and regulate online content that promotes indecency or violates cultural sensitivities. The spokesperson stressed that police remain committed to cracking down on such activities to preserve societal norms and protect citizens from misleading or harmful content.

The case also sparked debate online about the responsibility of social media users and the role of platforms like TikTok in ensuring that inappropriate content is restricted. While some users argued for stricter regulations, others highlighted the need for greater awareness and digital literacy to combat misuse.

This incident adds to a series of similar cases across Pakistan where individuals have used social media for attention-seeking stunts that cross ethical boundaries. Authorities have reiterated that misuse of digital platforms for immoral purposes will not be tolerated and that violators will face strict legal consequences.

Police concluded by warning that they will continue to monitor suspicious activities online and urged the public to report inappropriate content immediately to curb such practices.
