Islamabad: National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has extended an open invitation to facilitate dialogue between the government and the opposition, emphasizing the importance of reducing tensions.
Speaking on the matter, Ayaz Sadiq stated, “Negotiations are crucial to easing the strained relations between the government and the opposition. My office and home are always open for this purpose.” He reiterated his willingness to play a role in resolving political issues and fostering dialogue on any matter of national importance.
Speculation about talks between the government and opposition, particularly with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has been circulating in recent days. However, no formal confirmation of such negotiations has been made so far.
Commenting on the situation, Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah stated yesterday, “If PTI is serious, they should send a positive message to the government by naming their negotiation committee. We will then ask the Speaker to initiate talks with the Prime Minister.”
The call for dialogue comes as the political climate remains tense, with hopes for a breakthrough still uncertain.
