In an act of unparalleled bravery, Soldier Muhammad Yaseen Shaheed laid down his life on May 27, 2024, while fighting against terrorists in the Khyber Agency. His sacrifice, like many others, solidifies the foundation of Pakistan and stands as a testament to the courage and selflessness of Pakistan’s armed forces.

Hailing from the district of Khushab, Soldier Yaseen Shaheed’s family—comprising his father, mother, and siblings—are left to mourn his loss. However, they take immense pride in his sacrifice. His family expressed their emotions and sentiments, emphasizing that he fought till his last breath. “My son fought the enemy until his last moment. He fulfilled his duty, and we are proud of his martyrdom,” said his father.

His mother, with profound pride and sorrow, said, “I am proud of my son’s martyrdom. May Allah accept his sacrifice. He was my only son, but even if I had ten sons, I would have gladly given them up in the path of Allah. He was a virtuous man, a five-time prayer observer. He often told me, ‘Pray that I become a martyr.’ It shook me every time he said that. He would also tell me, ‘If death is destined for me, it can come anywhere, so why should I fear it?'”

Soldier Yaseen’s uncle also expressed his heartfelt tribute and urged the soldiers stationed at the borders to remain steadfast. “I appeal to the soldiers to stand firm against the enemy, just as our nephew did. When the opportunity arises, be ready to offer an even greater sacrifice. The bravery and courage of Soldier Yaseen are now etched in history, and his sacrifice is a source of immense pride for all of us,” he said.

The martyrdom of Soldier Muhammad Yaseen Shaheed is not just a personal loss for his family but a sacrifice that has strengthened the nation’s resolve to defend its sovereignty. His heroism is celebrated as a beacon of courage and patriotism.
