After an extended summer break of two months and 14 days, all private and public schools in Sindh have reopened, marking the beginning of a new academic year. The provincial government had extended the summer vacations till August 14, giving students and teachers a well-deserved break from the scorching heat and monsoon rains.
As schools resume educational activities, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah has urged students to focus on their studies and teachers to fulfill their responsibilities with honesty and integrity. The minister emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future of the country and encouraged students to work hard to achieve their goals.
The Sindh government has also introduced several reforms aimed at improving the quality of education in the province. One such initiative is the teacher licensing policy, which aims to promote skilled professionals in the education sector. The policy sets new standards for educational excellence and ensures that teachers are equipped to provide quality education to students.
The new academic year 2024-25 has begun on August 1, 2024, instead of April 1, 2024, as per the notification issued by the Sindh School Education and Literacy Department. This change is aimed at aligning the academic calendar with international standards and providing students with a more comprehensive education.
