Karachi: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday across the province on Friday, December 27, to mark the 17th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
According to an official notification issued by the Sindh government, all provincial departments, local councils, and autonomous corporations will observe a holiday on this day.
Earlier, the Sindh government had declared public holidays on December 25 and 26. The notification stated that December 25 would be observed as a holiday in honor of the birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and Christmas Day.
Additionally, December 26 will be a holiday specifically for Christian employees in recognition of Christmas celebrations.
This series of holidays reflects the provincial government’s commitment to honoring national figures and accommodating the religious festivities of diverse communities.
