Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Vice President and Senator Sherry Rehman has said that December 27 is not only a heavy day for the PPP but for democracy-loving people around the world. She added that the martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto was mourned globally, not just in Pakistan.

On the 17th anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, Sherry Rehman shared a video message on social media platform X. She stated that December 27 is a difficult day for all, particularly for those who believe in democracy, not just for PPP members. She emphasized that Benazir Bhutto’s martyrdom was mourned worldwide and that she was a national asset for Pakistan, with her life as remarkable as her name.

Sherry Rehman also praised Benazir Bhutto for her unwavering resistance against authoritarian forces, stating that she elevated the name of her workers with pride. She concluded by saying that today serves as a reminder for all to incorporate Benazir Bhutto’s vision, courage, and ideas into their own lives.
