ISLAMABAD:Pakistan’s fast bowler, Shaheen Afridi, will represent ‘Fortune Barishal’ in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
According to Bangladeshi newspaper The Sun, the defending champions of the BPL, ‘Fortune Barishal’, have officially announced Afridi’s availability for the tournament.
The BPL is set to begin on December 30, with seven teams participating: Dhaka Capitals, Chattogram Kings, Barishal, Khulna Tigers, Rangpur Riders, and Sylhet Strikers. The month-long event will feature matches in Dhaka, Mirpur, and Sylhet, with the first match and the final being held in Dhaka.
Shaheen Afridi, who recently reached 100 T20I wickets, achieved this milestone during Pakistan’s T20 series against South Africa in Durban. He is the third Pakistani to take 100 wickets in men’s T20 internationals.
Afridi is also the first Pakistani to claim 100 wickets in all three formats of international cricket.
