Islamabad: Senior diplomat Shafqat Ali Khan has been appointed as the new spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sources have confirmed that Shafqat Ali Khan is currently serving as the Additional Secretary for Europe at the Foreign Office. He has previously held significant positions, including serving as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia and Poland.
The current spokesperson, Muneeb Zahra Baloch, will be replaced following the proposal from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. Zahra Baloch is expected to be appointed as Pakistan’s Ambassador to France.
