Senator Faisal Vawda has stated that Imran Khan is responsible for the current political instability in the country. Vawda mentioned that there are many cases against him in the courts, and therefore, he cannot be the bearer of law and democracy.
Vawda also referred to Faiz Hameed, a close associate of Imran Khan, who had previously provided evidence of Imran Khan’s involvement in the May 9 vandalism. According to Vawda, Imran Khan had admitted to asking his workers to go to GHQ.
Vawda further stated that the government is not in danger of technocratic rule or martial law, but rather the continuation of power within the (N)League. He also mentioned that there is a threat of war and that the IMF has made a deal with the finance minister.
Vawda expressed confusion about the talk of constitutional breakdown and suggested that ministers should admit their unworthiness to gain respect from the nation. He advised against leading the country to political instability and highlighted that economic indicators are improving, with interest rates coming down and inflation decreasing.
However, Vawda criticized the payment agreements made with IPPs in dollars, suggesting that there are kickbacks behind such agreements. He concluded by stating that the decisions of specific seats will not be implemented and that the Election Commission, Parliament, Speaker National Assembly, and President are standing in the way.
