Security Guard’s Talented Daughter Makes International Cricket Debut

Lahore:Shehr Bano, a 15-year-old left-arm fast bowler from Lodhran, has marked her international cricket debut in the Women’s Under-19 T20 Asia Cup, currently being held in Malaysia. She made her first appearance in Pakistan’s match against Nepal in Kuala Lumpur.

Head coach Mohsin Kamal presented Shehr Bano with her debut cap, celebrating her inclusion in the national team. The seventh-grade student was warmly congratulated by the team management and fellow players, who expressed their best wishes for her future.

The Women’s Under-19 Asia Cup is ongoing in Malaysia, with Pakistan opting to bat first after winning the toss against Nepal.

Pakistan’s campaign in the tournament began on a challenging note as the team suffered a nine-wicket defeat to traditional rivals India in their opening match. Pakistan managed to score 67 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs, which India chased down comfortably in just 7.5 overs with nine wickets in hand.

Despite the initial setback, Shehr Bano’s debut represents a significant milestone, showcasing the rise of young talent from humble beginnings.
