Security measures for the upcoming Champions Trophy have been finalized, with 7,000 police officers and personnel assigned special duties around Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and its surrounding areas. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran stated that this time, the security plan has been designed in collaboration with traffic officers to minimize inconvenience for citizens.

Kamran also urged the public to cooperate with police personnel to ensure security, adding that daily search operations are being conducted in and around Gaddafi Stadium.

The ICC Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9, with India’s matches being played in the UAE.

Pakistan will host at least 10 matches of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, while Dubai will host three matches, including India’s and the first semi-final. If India does not qualify for the final on March 9, the match will be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium; otherwise, it will take place in Dubai.
