Karachi: Section 144 has been imposed in Karachi for two days, starting from December 31, 2024, to January 1, 2025. The decision was announced by the Commissioner of Karachi through an official notification.
The imposition of Section 144 restricts aerial firing and the use of fireworks during the New Year celebrations. The notification also warns of strict legal action against violators.
Additionally, in a bid to ensure security during the New Year festivities, strict measures have been implemented across the city. In Hyderabad, all business centers have been ordered to close by 8 PM on the night of December 31, 2024.
The move aims to maintain peace and safety during the celebrations, with authorities ensuring heightened vigilance across the region.
