Kabul (News Desk) – Saudi Arabia has announced the resumption of its diplomatic mission in Afghanistan, with the Saudi embassy in Kabul officially reopening. According to a statement posted on the embassy’s official X account, the mission will provide full services to the Afghan people, in line with the wishes of the Saudi government.

Earlier, Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi met with the Saudi Ambassador, highlighting the cultural, historical, and religious ties between Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, the Saudi Ambassador reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to continuing humanitarian aid and cooperation in various sectors.

In August 2021, Saudi Arabia had withdrawn its diplomatic staff from Afghanistan due to the country’s unstable situation. However, with the reopening of the mission, Saudi Arabia aims to strengthen its relations and support the Afghan people.
