Saturday Holidays Abolished in Islamabad Schools

In a bid to enhance the educational experience and provide additional support to students, the Ministry of Education has announced the end of Saturday holidays for schools in Islamabad. The decision, which will be implemented from August 10, aims to focus on weak students in various subjects and organize extracurricular activities for students.

According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Education, all educational institutions under the Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad, shall remain open every Saturday. The decision comes following directives from the Secretary of Federal Education and Professional Training, who emphasized the need to provide additional support to students.

The abolition of Saturday holidays will enable schools to provide extra attention to students who are struggling in various subjects. This will help to bridge the learning gap and ensure that all students are able to keep up with their peers. Additionally, Saturdays will be utilized to organize extracurricular activities, such as sports, arts, and cultural events, which will help to promote the overall development of students.

The decision has been welcomed by parents and educators, who believe that it will have a positive impact on the education system. However, some students have expressed disappointment at the loss of their weekly break.
