Karachi( The COW News Digital) Renowned singer Sanam Marvi and Ahmed Shah, President of the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, have amicably resolved their recent public dispute. Both parties have officially withdrawn their grievances and apologized for the misunderstandings that escalated the controversy.
Earlier this month, Sanam Marvi had sent a PKR 5 crore legal notice to Ahmed Shah, alleging that she had been pushed, verbally abused, and threatened during a Sindh government program in Sukkur on 10th August 2025. She demanded a formal apology within one week, warning that failure to comply would lead to legal action.
Ahmed Shah had denied all allegations, stating that neither he nor his staff had insulted or threatened the singer. Despite the initial confrontation, intervention by Sindh’s Minister for Culture, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, and writer Noor-ul-Huda Shah facilitated the reconciliation between the two personalities.
In a video shared on his official Facebook page, Ahmed Shah described Sanam Marvi as a “younger sister and daughter,” emphasizing that their relationship spans many years and that the dispute arose purely from a misunderstanding. He acknowledged that some of his staff’s inappropriate behavior caused discomfort to the singer, but stressed that all differences had now been resolved.
Sanam Marvi, speaking in Sindhi, confirmed that she had withdrawn all her allegations in accordance with Sindh’s cultural traditions. She expressed gratitude to Minister Zulfiqar Ali Shah and Noor-ul-Huda Shah for their pivotal role in mediating the reconciliation.
